A 26-year-old mother has been arrested by KwaZulu-Natal police for allegedly killing her two young children, aged nine months and four years, in a tragic stabbing incident at their residence in the KwaMathukuza area.

The children were discovered with fatal stab wounds and declared dead at the scene, according to provincial police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda. He confirmed that the suspect is currently under medical care after attempting to take her own life.
