Amina Jack Graduates with Psychology Honours

Amina Jack, known for her role as Thokozani in the popular South African soapie Isibaya, has graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science Honours in Psychology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). Jack’s academic journey was not without its challenges, as she had to balance her studies with her acting career.

According to Jack, the psychological support she received from UKZN was instrumental in her success. She recalled the mentally taxing and challenging moments she experienced, particularly in her first year of study, when she had to travel overnight between Johannesburg and Pietermaritzburg to attend classes while filming the last season of Isibaya.

Overcoming Mental Health Challenges

Jack credited the counselling sessions provided by UKZN’s Student Services Division for helping her navigate the mental health challenges she faced. She also expressed gratitude for her support system, which included her family and friends, and thanked God for giving her the strength to persevere.
