SA Weather Warning: 6ft Waves Hit Coastline

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a warning of damaging waves expected to disrupt beachfront activities along parts of the coastline on Monday, Family Day. A Yellow Level 1 warning is in place between Saldanha Bay and Kei Mouth, where rough sea conditions could impact coastal operations and public activities.

According to the South African Weather Service, the warning indicates a moderate risk of impact that requires caution and awareness. The SAWS uses a colour-coded system to indicate the level of risk, with yellow indicating a moderate risk and orange indicating a higher-risk impact.

Weather Forecast

Much of the country can expect partly cloudy to warm conditions, with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers forecast across central and eastern provinces, including the Free State, KwaZulu-Natal and parts of the Eastern Cape.
