Crinums Unbeaten Run Continues in TNL Power Week 1

The Free State Crinums have maintained their perfect record in the Telkom Netball League (TNL) Power Week 1, with a 56-36 victory over the Jaguars at the Durban University of Technology on Friday. The win takes them to 12 log points, solidifying their position at the top of the Division 1 standings.

Veteran Karla Pretorius has been instrumental in the Crinums’ success, with her defensive prowess earning her the Player-of-the-Match accolade. The Proteas legend’s experience has been a key factor in the team’s unbeaten run, which has seen them win all six of their matches in Power Week 1.

Crinums’ Dominance Continues

Crinums head coach Martha Mosoahle-Samm was delighted with her team’s performance, saying, “It feels amazing for Crinums. I think it was a great campaign for us. It’s over now, so we need to go back and do some analysis and see where we can improve.” The coach’s comments come as the team prepares for the second leg of the competition, which will take place at the Ellis Park Arena in Johannesburg from 22-31 May.

The Fireballs’ victory has kept them in contention for the title, and they will be looking to build on this momentum in the second leg of the competition.

Division 2 Update

The Tornados maintained their unbeaten run with a hard-fought 51-45 victory over the Free State Sonoblomo on Saturday, further strengthening their position at the top of the Division 2 standings. Local side the Kingdom Queens also signed off Power Week 1 on a high with a 60-48 win over the Eastern Cape Comets, keeping them in second place in the lower division.
