A mass shooting in Kraaifontein, Cape Town, has left one person dead and three others injured, including a five-year-old child. The incident occurred on Wednesday night in Mfeketho Street, Wallacedene, at around 7.35pm when gunmen opened fire on the victims.

According to police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg, the 50-year-old victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel, while the other victims were transported to a medical facility in a private vehicle. The motive for the attack is still under investigation.

Shooting Incident Under Investigation

The circumstances surrounding the shooting incident are under investigation, and murder and attempted murder cases have been registered. The police are still searching for the suspects, who fled the scene after the shooting.

A similar incident occurred in Delft on May 12, where a 45-year-old man was shot and killed, and two others were injured during a robbery at a spaza shop. The South African Police Service has urged anyone with information about the incidents to come forward.
