Luyanda Zuma, the talented South African actress and Miss South Africa 2025 runner-up, has been appointed as the Global Goodwill Ambassador for the Women African Tourism Board (WATB), a role that resonates deeply with her values.
According to the tourism industry, empowering women is crucial for the development of the sector. Zuma’s new role is a significant step towards achieving this goal. “It is a great honour to join the Women African Tourism Board as Global Goodwill Ambassador. I am passionate about initiatives that empower women, preserve our cultural heritage, and open pathways for the next generation of African leaders,” Zuma said.
Empowering Women in Tourism
Her appointment comes as WATB expands its continental and global footprint, aiming to empower women across the tourism, culture, and creative sectors. Under the leadership of Ambassador Moleboheng Matli, Zuma will champion women’s leadership in tourism, cultural diplomacy, and programs that create meaningful opportunities for women and youth.
“Luyanda Zuma embodies the spirit of African womanhood, purpose-driven, compassionate, and committed to uplifting others,” said Ambassador Matli. “Her voice, influence, and dedication to community empowerment make her a natural fit for this role. We are honoured to welcome her into the WATB family and look forward to the positive impact we will achieve together.”
