The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has forecast severe thunderstorms that may lead to flooding in parts of the Eastern Cape, Northern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and Free State. In other parts of the country, partly cloudy and warm to cool conditions are expected, with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers possible over the central and eastern parts of South Africa. Hot and humid weather will result in extremely uncomfortable conditions along the coast and adjacent interior of KwaZulu-Natal.
