South African artist Jazzwrld has confirmed the release of his highly anticipated solo album, ‘Secrets of the Wrld’, following the groundbreaking success of his collaboration with Thukuthela, which has surpassed 800 million streams across all platforms.
The DJ and producer took to social media to reflect on the milestone achieved with Thukuthela, crediting local support for the achievement. ‘South Africa, you made sure of getting us on the global map. We will always be grateful for the love and support,’ he said.
Jazzwrld’s Solo Journey
Jazzwrld then shifted focus to his next move, announcing his debut solo album, ‘Secrets of the Wrld’. ‘This journey has been one of resilience, growth and self-discovery. Every beat, every lyric is a reflection of a story, a struggle, and a dream worth sharing,’ he explained.
The project is deeply personal, with Jazzwrld adding that ‘this is not just music. It is a window into a soul finally unveiled. Get ready for the secrets that will resonate across the world.’ Born Kamohelo Monese, Jazzwrld has become a leading name in the Afro-house and 3-Step space, with his work with Thukuthela delivering strong streaming numbers and industry recognition within a short time.
Awards and Performances
At the 2026 Metro FM Music Awards, the pair lead the nominations with 12 in total. As individual artists, they each earned seven nominations, with the full count including their collaborative appearances across the ballot. They are also set to perform at the 23rd edition of the Cape Town International Jazz Festival, where they will bring their sound to the Manenberg stage.
Their debut album, ‘The Most Wanted’, marked a key moment in their rise, becoming the first South African album to surpass 100 million streams on local Spotify. As Jazzwrld embarks on his solo journey, will he bring a more personal and introspective sound, exploring stories drawn from his own experiences while expanding beyond the Afro-house and 3-Step style he developed with Thukuthela?
