Pick n Pay has joined the hilarious beef with McDonald’s, after a video surfaced of the fast food giant’s CEO struggling to eat a burger off the menu.

The CEO, Chris Kempczinski, has come under fire on social media, with many poking fun at his attempt to take a big bite of the Big Arch burger. So far, Burger King and Wendy’s have recreated the clip, teasing their competitor.

CEO Burger Challenge

Closer to home, Woolworths has also hopped on the bandwagon, but it’s Pick n Pay that has really brought the heat. On its Instagram account, Pick n Pay CEO Sean Summers and Managing Executive, Dallas Langman, took on the “CEO Burger Challenge”. Spoofing McDonald’s CEO, the duo filmed themselves eating burgers made from their in-store food items.

“Once you have one, you can’t stop”, Summers tells the camera. He cheekily added, “Did you see the size of that bite? Damn, that’s good”. The video has been making the rounds on social media, with many praising Pick n Pay for its light-hearted and humorous take on the situation.

Another Burger Fail

This week, McDonald’s became a hot topic on social media over the clip of its CEO struggling to eat a mouthful of the chain’s new burger. But social media users have dug up another cringeworthy video of the fast food executive. In it, Kempczinski films himself eating a chicken burger, and eagle-eyed viewers were quick to spot that the CEO spat out his bite on a paper napkin.
